100 Days Of Bad Writing

Recently, I dropped a project compilation that turned into my first ebook. Writing through 100 Days seemed daunting, especially because of the execution style I used for the project. I waited for my audience to send in questions, and then I got to answer. Those answers became my writing – a top-tier draining style, which I strongly advise against.

As the project was going on, and even now, people have asked me lots of questions about how to join the challenge, what to do, and how to start. This blog post is here to help you with suggestions and guide you on your writing adventure.

That being said, your 100 Days Writing journey can take shape through various styles, these are a few you can try out:

• Writing Prompts: You can decide to use writing prompts available on the internet to inspire your writing. This works well, as thousands of people have built great writing careers off using writing prompts from the internet. During periods when writing felt so farfetched, one of the things that helped me put my words down was writing prompts. This is an example of what a writing prompt looks like.
• Random Writing: You can decide to write about 100 Random Lessons I have learnt about, 100 Random Things I Find On The Internet, 100 Random Predictions About The Future, etc. This style enables you to break away from a rigid structure, allowing your creativity to flow without predefined constraints.
• Interest & Curiosity Writing: This style invites you to dedicate 100 days to exploring subjects that genuinely captivate your interest and spark your curiosity. You can decide to write about 100 things that inspire you, 100 books that inspire, 100 plants the world should know about, and 100 dishes you are looking forward to trying. The idea behind this style is to write for 100 days about things you find interesting or are curious about.

On When To Start

Begin with intention. Merely starting won’t endure; sustained enthusiasm is vital. Establish a routine, and commit to your chosen execution style. If evenings are your dedicated writing time, consistently appear every evening. Deliberate, consistent effort will fuel your journey, not just initial eagerness. The key is a devoted commitment aligned with your preferred writing rhythm. So, when to start? Not just impulsively but with purposeful dedication. Your writing journey for this project will thrive on planned persistence.

A Build-In Public Project

I should also let you know that this is a build-in public type of project. The rule of the project is that you show up in public (on social media) with your writings every day for the number of days you’ve chosen. The project is also aimed at helping writers put their work out because, for most writers, it’s not the fear of writing but the fear of putting their work out. Your work deserves to exist in this world. I’m looking forward to reading them, and lots of people are.
